On Saturday, April 13th from 9:00A to 3:00P in the Willard Conference Room,
first-level of DePerno Hall, the Department of History invites all History
majors and minors to attend the annual History 456 Symposium during which
time five History majors will deliver presentations on their respective
original research projects.

This year's thematic question examines if historical research provides a
case for advancing further empirically based research and discussion
regarding the topic of reparations for New York's unresolved histories of
participation in systemic oppression and economic growth from American
slavery and Jim Crow structural racism in the Mohawk Valley and Central New
York regions as well as reparations for unresolve histories regarding New
York's appropriation of land from the Oneida Nation.

For all majors, this is an excellent opportunity to see the culmination of
your training as History majors. It is also an excellent opportunity to ask
questions about what goes into original research projects.

Lunch and beverages will also be provided. We hope to see you there!

Best,
