To all faculty and staff:

On behalf of Brothers On a New Direction (B.O.N.D.), I would like to invite
you
to an upcoming program title "What Stands Between Us" on Tuesday, February
20
from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.  We will be hosting educator and community activist
Patrick Johnson in the Ellen Knower Clarke Lounge in Strebel Student Center.

This program is intended to provide the opportunity for faculty, staff and
students to have an honest discussion on the issues of race and how those
issues
can divide us.  We know that race, ethnicity, and racism affects us in
different
ways, and having a diverse group engaging in the conversation helps in
educating
each other about who we are how our experiences are shaped by our race and
ethnicity, the impact racism has on us all, and how to better understand
each
other and work together.

While we ask, if possible, that you share this opportunity with students you
teach and work with in other ways, we would like to extend this invitation
to
you and your colleagues as well, knowing that we are all part of the Utica
College community and have much to learn from each other.
